After heatwave, Gujarat to witness unseasonal rain this weekend

Sizzling temperatures have roasted multiple districts in Gujarat, however, there is a ray of relief with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicting “light to moderate rain or thundershowers from May 3 to 7”.
Amid the ongoing heatwave, IMD said, “Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in north Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch region on Wednesday and Thursday.” However, temperatures are likely to fall by 2 to 4°C in the next three days.
On Saturday, light to moderate rain is likely in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Kutch. Moreover, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Patan, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara and Chhotaudepur, Bhavnagar, Amreli and Kutch is likely to witness rain showers on Sunday.
On May 6 and 7, light to moderate rain is likely in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar,
Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Dangs, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Daman, Dadra Nagar & Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Kutch and Diu.
