After flights, hotels in Rajkot receive bomb threat

Ten well-known hotels in Rajkot received bomb threats via email on Saturday, causing alarm among guests and staff.
The hotels affected include The Imperial Palace, Sayaji Hotel, Bhabha Hotel, Kaveri Hotel, Jyoti Hotel, Paramount, The Elements Hotel, Seasons Hotel, Beacon Hotel, and The Grand Regency Hotel.
The emails warned, “I placed bombs in every location of your hotel. The bomb will go off in a few hours. Many innocent lives will be lost today. Hurry up and evacuate the hotel.”
The police were alerted at 12.45 pm and teams were dispatched quickly, including the Crime Branch, Special Operations Group, local police, the bomb squad, and the dog squad, to investigate.
Despite thorough checks, no explosives were found in any of the hotels.
This comes after over 170 flights receiving bomb threats this month, with most of the threats being made via social media platforms.
On Tuesday, more than 50 flights, including 13 each from Air India and IndiGo, received bomb threats, while Akasa Air reported threats to more than 12 flights, and Vistara received threats for 11 flights.
On Monday night, about 30 flights from IndiGo, Air India, and Vistara faced bomb threats.
