After CJI, shoe thrown at judge in Ahmedabad court, accused arrested

Following the recent incident in the Supreme Court where a senior lawyer Rakesh Kishore threw a shoe at the Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, a similar episode has now taken place in the Ahmedabad Sessions Court. Police have arrested the accused and initiated further investigation, as per reports.
A shoe was reportedly thrown at Additional Principal Judge M P Purohit of the Ahmedabad Sessions Court on Tuesday. Reports state that the accused threw the shoe after the judge dismissed his appeal. Police immediately detained the man and have begun an inquiry into the matter.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred in the Supreme Court of India, where the CJI was targeted during a hearing. A 60-year-old lawyer, Rakesh Kishore allegedly attempted to throw a shoe at the Chief Justice. The lawyer was promptly taken into custody and later released as no complaint was filed by the CJI.
