Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) are jointly preparing a comprehensive mobility plan for Greater Ahmedabad. As a part of this project, feedback was taken from citizens to ascertain current issues and get their opinion on future strategies.

The citizens were asked to provide opinions on the following

1. Are there proper footpaths or pedestrian zones for safe walking on the city roads?

2. About encroachments on roads, signalised junctions, and matters regarding road conditions

3. Lack of street lights along the footpath

4. Lack of sheds or green covers along the roadside

5. Lack of cycle tracks or lawns

6. Difficulties parking vehicles in commercial areas

7. Parking fares and issues related to parking space encroachment

8. Increasing levels of pollution

9. Tree plantation on the central verge and lack of footpath and lane markings

Sustainable Urban Plan in making

The Sustainable Urban Plan, or comprehensive mobility plan, for Greater Ahmedabad's 2041 vision has been prepared by AMC and AUDA for future requirements and development.

Opinions accepted on the AMC website

For better execution of the plan, a public feedback form has been featured on the AMC website. For the first time, feedback from citizens has been taken for any project.

The citizens are supposed to enter their name and e-mail ID to fill out the survey form. The names and other details of the citizens will be confidential after the survey.
