In a shocking medical case, a 9-month-old girl from Junagadh had to undergo surgery after doctors discovered a mobile phone LED light lodged in her throat.

According to reports, the infant, daughter of Junaid, had been suffering from persistent coughing for the past 15 days. Concerned about her condition, the family took her for an X-ray, which revealed a foreign object stuck in her airway.

Initially referred to a hospital in Rajkot, the family was unable to afford treatment there. They then brought the child to Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, where doctors performed an emergency bronchoscopy surgery.

During the procedure, surgeons successfully removed a mobile LED light from the baby’s throat. Medical staff confirmed that the surgery was successful, and the child is now in stable condition and steadily recovering.

Hospital authorities emphasised the importance of keeping small objects out of reach of infants to prevent such life-threatening incidents.
