An Air India plane crashed on the BJ Medical College campus in Meghaninagar on June 12, with 242 passengers and crew members onboard, where only one person survived.

The incident also caused casualties in the hostel area, where many college students were dining in the canteen when the plane crashed onto the hostel building.

In the incident, four students and one intern died, while 28-30 students were injured.

Among those injured, eight students could not appear for their exams, which were held from June 26 to July 3.

Considering their situation, the college has announced that new exam dates will be given to these students. If they are unable to appear on the rescheduled dates, supplementary exam dates will be announced for them.

Meanwhile, the Atulyam 1, 2, 3, and 4 hostel buildings, which were damaged in the crash, remain cordoned off even a month after the incident. Students will only be allowed to return once the cordon is lifted and the necessary repairs are completed.
