After a sharp cut-off reduction, the online admissions in PG medical courses (state quota) opened for registration.. The Admission Committee then released a revised merit list, adding 754 candidates.

Officials said the cutoff was reduced to 7 percentile in the open category and zero percentile for reserved categories, allowing candidates with very low or even negative marks in NEET-PG to qualify. Some newly included candidates scored as low as zero or 13 marks.

With the latest registration, the total number of candidates in the Gujarat states merit list has reached 5,394. After the completion of the third round of All India Quota admission by February 12, the third round of state quota counselling will begin. Newly registered candidates have time till February 18 to participate.

It has also emerged that 50 to 60 seats in certain medical colleges were incorrectly displayed during the admission process, as the colleges had reported excess seat availability. These seats have now been withdrawn and corrected, officials confirmed.

The Admission Committee has advised candidates to regularly check official notifications and ensure timely participation in the upcoming counselling rounds to avoid missing admission opportunities.
