6.54 lakh youths employed in Gujarat through 7,403 job fairs in 5 years

The Gujarat government has facilitated employment for more than 6.54 lakh youths across the state in the last five years through an extensive series of recruitment fairs.
As many as 7,403 mega job fairs were organised, providing direct access to employment opportunities tailored to candidates’ qualifications. The state has undertaken systematic efforts to connect young job seekers with suitable roles.
The fairs attracted participation from leading national and multinational corporations, including Tata Motors, Suzuki Motors, Honda Motorcycle, Reliance Jio, ArcelorMittal, Torrent Pharma, and Arvind Limited. Green energy firms such as Adani Solar also recruited large numbers of youths, reflecting the state’s push toward emerging sectors.
In a parallel initiative to boost employment, the government has declared 2026 as ‘Gujarat Tourism Year’. As part of this, free professional training is being provided to 1,000 youths to work as tourist guides.
Additionally, the Statue of Unity Authority has imparted vocational training to around 150 local tribal youths, enhancing their skills, self-confidence, and financial stability for families in the region.
