A tragic road accident on the Morbi-Halvad highway claimed the lives of five young men and left two others critically injured on Saturday night. The accident took place near Charadwa village when the car carrying 7 people crashed into a heavy dumper crossing the highway.
According to police and local sources, the accident occurred at around 9.30 pm. The car was travelling at high speed toward a hospital when a dumper suddenly entered the road from a nearby factory.

In the car, the passengers were already taking another injured man, victim of another accident, to a hospital.
The vehicle was damaged so badly that several passengers became trapped inside the wreckage.
The victims were residents of Ranchhodgarh village. Reports say they were rushing to help a man who had been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident near Mansar village in Halvad taluka.
