48-year-old woman jumps from seventh floor of Anandnagar residential tower

A woman, 48, allegedly commited suicide after jumping from the seventh floor of a residential building in Ahmedabad’s Anandnagar area on Monday, police said.

The incident took place at Shubh Darshan Tower, following which officials from Satellite Police Station rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation.

According to preliminary police findings, the deceased woman had reportedly been suffering from an illness for some time. Investigators also recovered a suicide note from the scene.

Police said the note stated that no individual should be held responsible for her death.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination, while further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is under way.
