4 road accidents result in 4 deaths, including two elderly in Ahmedabad
Four innocent lives lost in separate incidents within four days

Rising road accidents in Ahmedabad have become a cause for serious concern as vehicles run rampant on city roads. In a matter of days, four lives were lost in four separate incidents, including two elderly people.

On July 26, 68-year-old Popat Patel of Patel Vas in Hansol, was walking home from a bhajan programme at a temple with his brother when a speeding car ran over them. Patel succumbed to his injuries.

On the same day, Vishal Hasani, a resident of Sardarnagar and working as an estate broker, was standing near Hansol Chikuwali with his friend Mahesh Chhabria when a car hit both friends. The driver, also from Hansol, took them to the hospital. However, Mahesh Chhabria died during treatment.

On July 23, Jitendrasinh Rao (34), a resident of Vastral near Arbudanagar and working in Chandkheda, was going to his workplace from Visat in a rickshaw. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned near Chandkheda police station. Rao too lost his life during treatment.

In another incident on the same day, Vitthal Parmar (71), a resident of Neminath Park in Odhav and working as a security guard, was crossing the road near Nagarvel Hanuman Temple when a biker seriously injured him, leading to his death during treatment.
