395 students placed with average package of ₹35 lakh, highest ₹1.10 cr at IIM Ahmedabad

Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has released the final placement report for the 2023–25 PGP MBA batch. A total of 395 students were placed, with the average annual package ranging between ₹34 lakh–35 lakh. Meanwhile, 11 students either did not accept the institute’s placement offers or chose not to participate.

According to the placement report is third-party audited, in strict compliance with the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS), 383 students graduated in 2025 from IIM Ahmedabad’s PGP-MBA program, while 9 students were from the dual degree program (graduating in 2026). 

In total, 406 students were eligible for the final placements of 2025. However, 11 opted out and pursued jobs independently, leaving 395 students placed through the institute. The median package stood at ₹34.59 lakh, meaning half of the students received packages above this figure and half below it. The overall average package was ₹35.50 lakh annually.

The highest package offered was ₹1.10 crore per annum, while the lowest was ₹17 lakh. Within the highest salary packages, the average stood at ₹71.12 lakh, whereas in the overall average bracket, the salary was ₹25.31 lakh. Out of the 395 students placed, 393 joined Indian companies while 2 students were placed in Dubai with international packages exceeding $1,03,000.

Sector-wise placements:

Consulting: 156 students (highest share)

Banking & Finance: 99 students

Analytics & Agri-inputs: 2 students (lowest share)

In the previous year (2024), the average package was around ₹35 lakh, the highest package reached ₹1.12 crore, and the lowest was ₹18 lakh. Thus, the percentage change in packages has remained negligible.

Only two students chose startups

According to the IIM Ahmedabad final placement report, while 395 students were placed this year, only 2 students opted to launch their own ventures (startups) instead of taking up jobs. They also received support under IIMA’s fellowship program. In comparison, last year, 386 students were placed and 5 had chosen startups.
