After a few days of rise in the mercury, 31 talukas in Gujarat received light to moderate rains on October 15.
The highest rainfall was received in Valsad’s Kaprada, where 3.5 inches of rain was received in just two hours. With this, Kaprada has received 142 inches of seasonal rainfall.
In Rajkot, Lodhika received 1.5 inches in just two hours.
Significant rainfall was also received in Ahwa in Dang; Rapar in Kutch; Vapi in Valsad; Suigam, Tharad, Kankrej in Banaskantha; Gir Gadhada in Gir Somnath; Dahegam in Gandhinagar.
With this, Gujarat has received 141% of the season’s rain so far.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, some places in north Gujarat, south Gujarat, and Saurashtra may experience light to moderate rain with wind speeds of 30 to 40 km/h on Wednesday.
However, the chances of rain in Gujarat starting Thursday are negligible.
