3 labourer dead, 3 injured after wall collapses during construction in Mehsana

An accident occurred in Sundarpura village of Vijapur Taluka in Mehsana district, where a wall collapsed during construction work on Friday, burying six labourers under the debris. Three labourers lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The incident took place when excavation was underway for a new building’s foundation in the Mahadevwala Vas area in Sundarpura. During the digging, the adjacent house’s wall suddenly collapsed, trapping six workers under the rubble.

Local residents gathered at the site in large numbers upon hearing the news. Emergency service ambulance, quickly reached the location. All six workers were pulled out from under the debris, but unfortunately, three were declared dead. The injured have been admitted to Vijapur Civil Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
