26-year-old woman hangs self from tree at Surat civil hospital, dies

A 26-year-old woman was found hanging from a tree inside Surat Civil Hospital on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the woman identified as Pooja Kushwaha, a resident of Hazira, had been admitted to the hospital just 10 days ago.

At the time, she was pregnant. After giving birth to her child, she suddenly went missing. Her family had been searching for her since then. Today, her hanging body was found on the hospital grounds, prompting immediate action by the police.

The newborn child she had given birth to is reportedly ill and currently on a ventilator. Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact reason behind the suicide.
