26-year-old neighbour arrested for alleged assault on 7-year-old boy

In a disturbing incident that has shaken the community in Naranpura, Ahmedabad, a young neighbour has been accused of heinously assaulting a seven-year-old child from the neighbouring household. The shocking crime reportedly took place within the child's own home, where the child's mother, who manages household chores to support her family, was unaware of the horrifying incident.

According to police, the accused, a young man residing nearby, lured the child under the pretext of offering him balloon, before allegedly committing the assault. The child, traumatised and crying, managed to escape and rushed home, where he narrated the distressing events to his family. Their subsequent investigation led to the police being informed.

Following a formal complaint, the Naranpura police swiftly acted on the tip-off and apprehended the suspect. The accused, believed to be residing alone and engaged in labour, is now in police custody as further investigations are under way.

H M Kansagara, ACP of B Division, stated, “We are thoroughly investigating the matter and ensuring justice for the minor. Such incidents are deeply troubling and will not be tolerated.”

The community remains in shock, and authorities have assured that they will take strict action against such heinous offences to ensure safety and justice for all residents.
