23 Gujarat police officers to receive medals on Independence Day for their exemplary service

On the occasion of Independence Day, 23 police officers from Gujarat will be honoured for their exemplary service. This year, two officers from the state will receive the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 21 officers will be awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

The list includes senior officials such as Inspector Generals, Deputy Inspectors General, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Head Constables, and Constables.

Meanwhile, the highest number of medals for gallantry across the country has been awarded to officers from Jammu and Kashmir.

President’s Medal for Distinguished Service:

- Sharad Jitendraprakash Singhal, Inspector General, Gujarat

- Khumansinh Nanabhai Damor, Inspector General, Gujarat

Police Medal for Meritorious Service:

- Rakesh Pravinkumar Barot, Deputy Inspector General, Gujarat

- Babubhai Lilabhai Desai, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gujarat

-  Mahavirsinh Hitendrasinh Vaghela, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gujarat

- Bhupendrakumar Natvarlal Dave, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gujarat

-  Kamlesh Arun Patil, Assistant Sub Inspector, Gujarat
