21 packets of charas worth ₹12 cr seized near Mithapur shore in Dwarka

Adding to the rising episodes of drug seizures at coastal Gujarat, Devbhumi Dwarka police seized approximately 23.68 kg of charas worth ₹12 crore on July 20.

During a patrol led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitesh Pandey, along with Special Operation Group (SOG), Sagar Rakshak Dal (SRD), and Gram Rakshak Dal (GRD) officials, the authorities found 21 abandoned packets of charas near the shores of Mojap village in Mithapur.

Gujarat coasts plagued by drugs

Before this, 64 packets of charas were found near Chandrabhaga, Vachhu, and Gorija in June, valued at approximately ₹30 crore.

In total, 115 packets of charas, valued at approximately ₹57 crore, were found abandoned in the coastal areas of Dwarka in 10 days last month.

Moreover, a few days ago, 30 packets of charas, weighing 32 kg, were found near the coastal area of Varvala in Jamnagar.
