17-year-old girl injured in fall from AMTS bus near Gujarat University

A 17-year-old girl sustained injuries after falling from an AMTS bus near the Dadasaheb Pagla bus stop on Gujarat University road on Monday. The incident, which initially sparked speculation of a possible jump, has now been clarified by police as an accidental fall while alighting from the bus.
According to a statement from Police Inspector A M Thakor of the B Division Traffic Police, the bus was stationed at the designated AMTS stop near Dadasaheb Pagla when the incident occurred. The girl, identified as Swati Mukesh Joshi, was attempting to get down from the bus when she lost her balance and fell.
“She did not jump off the moving vehicle as initially rumoured. The bus was halted at the stop, and the girl fell while getting down,” Thakor said, adding that an investigation into the exact sequence of events is ongoing.
Swati Joshi, 17, reportedly suffered minor injuries and was provided with initial medical attention. Authorities have not indicated any foul play at this stage, though further inquiries are being conducted to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the incident.
