₹12 lakh worth of liquor seized in Siddhpur, 3 arrested, 4 wanted

The State Monitoring Cell (SMC) in a late-night raid at Khali Crossroad near Siddhpur in Patan district, seized Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth nearly ₹12 lakh and detained three individuals allegedly involved in the smuggling operation. The raid was conducted between July 20 and 21.

Acting on intelligence inputs, the police intercepted two Creta cars suspected to be transporting IMFL. Upon inspection, officers recovered a total of 2,653 bottles of IMFL, valued at ₹11.94 lakh, along with three mobile phones worth ₹15,000, cash amounting to ₹5,170, and two vehicles estimated to be worth ₹20 lakh. The total value of the seized items stands at ₹32,14,973.

Sunilkumar Manju (Bishnoi) of Jalore district, Rajasthan (driver)

All three have been handed over to the Siddhpur police for further investigation. They have been booked under various sections of the Prohibition Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Four accused involved in the case are absconding. They have been identified as Munnabhai Dhayal, alleged supplier of IMFL, and Sauresh Bishnoi who was identified as a partner in the liquor supply chain. Ramesh Rasan (Bishnoi), an unknown individual, believed to be the receiver of the consignment, and the owners of both Creta vehicles are also under investigation.

Authorities confirmed that none of the accused are listed offenders, and further inquiries are underway to trace the absconding individuals.
