11 people rescued after lift gets stuck in Surat building

A lift in Aashirvaad complex in Vesu area of Surat got stuck between floors, trapping 11 people, including women and two children. The department quickly reached the spot and safely rescued everyone, no one was injured. 

The incident is believed to have happened due to a sudden power failure or a mechanical problem. The lift stopped between the ground floor and the basement, causing panic among the people inside, which led them to shout for help.

Residents of the building heard noise and immediately informed the Vesu Fire Station. The fire department team arrived with modern tools and carefully opened  the lift door. After around 30 minutes, all 11 people were taken out safely, one by one.

After the rescue, people felt relieved and thanked the fire department for their quick action. Initial reports suggest that the lift may have stopped due to overloading or poor maintenance.
