₹100 crore properties of Deepak Thakkar exposed by SMC

In the case of the ₹2,300 crore Madhavpura cricket betting and dabba trading racket, major revelations have emerged during the interrogation of Deepak Thakkar.
It was revealed that along with his family members, he acquired properties worth ₹100 crore in Ahmedabad, Deesa, and Bhabhar with the ownership registered under their names.
To gather details of these properties, the State Monitoring Cell (SMC) has initiated an investigation at the Registrar’s Office in Ahmedabad and Banaskantha districts.
Thakkar’s properties:
- Two offices in Ahmedabad’s PNTC tower in Vejalpur
- Two offices in Titanium One, Pakwan Cross Roads, Ahmedabad
- A 3600-square-yard plot behind Babylon Club on Science City Road
- Two lockers in Kalupur Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank
- A total of 11 bighas of agricultural land in both Deesa and Bhabhar.
- CNG pump located on the Deesa-Patan Road, which is being managed by a person named Firoz from Deesa.
- A 1,375 square-foot luxury bungalow in the joint name of his wife in Deesa’s Rajkamal Society, and three 1200 square-foot plots in Nilkamal Society.
- A 5000 square-foot plot on the Palanpur Highway in Deesa.
- One shop each in the Deesa Bhabhar APMCs. He also owns a car in Dubai and two cars in Gujarat.
Regarding this, K T Kamaria, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) stated that they are collecting information about whose name these properties were purchased under, from whom they were bought, and when they were purchased.
The authorities are also investigating how many of these properties were purchased before and how many after he left for Dubai in 2020.
However, it has been reported that Thakkar claimed during questioning that these properties were bought before 2020.
