Safety Grills Missing From General Coaches of Trains Running From Gandhinagar, Raise Concerns

Safety concerns have been raised over the missing iron protection grills on the windows of general coaches of trains under the Ahmedabad division of Western Railway. The grills were missing from the general coaches of Train No. 19411 (Gandhinagar–Daulatpur Chowk Express) and a Veraval-bound train.

The issue has raised concern as general coaches are often crowded with passengers, including families, children and daily wage workers. The absence of the grills may increase the risk of passengers, especially children, falling through the windows during the journey.

Passengers have demanded that railway officials immediately inspect the general coaches and install strong iron protection grills on windows where they are missing. They have also sought checks of general coaches across trains under the Ahmedabad division.

Passengers said timely action is necessary to reduce the risk of accidents and improve safety, particularly for children and families travelling in crowded general coaches.
