Iron Slab Crashes Down At Construction Site In Gandhinagar’s Kudasan, Workers Feared Trapped Under Debris

A massive iron slab collapsed late Wednesday night at an under-construction commercial complex in the busy Kudasan area of Gandhinagar, triggering widespread panic and leaving several construction workers feared trapped underneath the heavy metal rubble.

The dramatic collapse occurred at around 9:15 PM at the 'Bosky The Empire' site, where an iron structure being erected between two units suddenly caved in with a loud crash. Hearing the sudden noise, alarmed local residents rushed to the spot and immediately initiated initial rescue efforts before emergency services arrived.

Emergency Teams Launch Night-Time Rescue Operation

According to eyewitnesses and local residents, approximately 10 workers were on duty at the construction site when the structure failed. Upon receiving urgent calls, the Gandhinagar Fire Brigade dispatched more than five fire engines and specialized rescue teams to the spot.

Rescue personnel are currently clearing the heavy metallic structure and concrete debris on a war footing to reach those caught underneath.

Multiple 108 emergency ambulance units were swiftly deployed to the scene to provide immediate medical assistance and transport any extracted workers to nearby hospitals.

Search Operations Continue Amid Ruins

While local authorities and emergency teams are fully deployed at the site, neither the city police nor fire brigade officials have issued an official confirmation regarding the exact number of casualties or injuries as operations continue late into the night.

State emergency personnel and local administrative teams remain focused on clearing the collapsed framework and ensuring every worker present at the scene is accounted for.
