‘Will blow up his car’, Salman Khan receives fresh threats, Mumbai Police files case

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan received yet another death threat on Monday, reigniting security concerns surrounding the actor.
As per reports, the threat message was sent via Whatsapp messenger to the Mumbai Transport Department’s Worli office. The anonymous message warned of a plan to kill the actor by either storming into his residence or bombing his car.
A case has been registered at the Worli police station, and authorities have begun investigating the source of the threat.
This incident adds to the long list of threats the actor has received in recent years, many of which have been linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Salman Khan has been under scrutiny since his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which deeply hurt the Bishnoi community.
In November 2024, Khan had received another death threat, allegedly from the Bishnoi gang. The gang also reportedly threatened to kill a songwriter who had penned lyrics referencing Bishnoi.
In October 2024, Baba Siddique, a close aide of Salman Khan and a politician, was allegedly gunned down by a Bishnoi gang member in Bandra. The attack occurred on October 12 at Khetwadi Junction, under the cover of darkness as the streetlights were turned off and no CCTV footage was available. According to preliminary police reports, six rounds were fired, with three bullets hitting Siddique in the chest and another injuring a passenger in the vehicle.
Although Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail, Mumbai Police have not yet sought his custody in connection with the Baba Siddique murder case.
