Anuja Could Not Win an Oscar

The award for Best Live Action Short Film was won by Victoria Warmerdam and Trent for their film I Am Not a Robot. Meanwhile, Anuja, directed by Adam J. Graves and Suchitra Mittal, could not secure an Oscar, which was a major disappointment for India.

Anuja was co-produced by Priyanka Chopra and Guneet Monga. The film tells the story of a 9-year-old girl who works in a factory. The role of Anuja was played by Sajda Pathan, who was a real-life child laborer.

Best Visual Effects: Paul Lambert, Stephen James, Rhys Salcombe, and Gerd Nefzer received the award for Dune: Part Two.

Best Sound Award: Gareth John, Richard King, Robert Bartlett, and Doug Hemphill won for Dune: Part Two.
