Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been reportedly discharged from the hospital after spending more than a month under medical care. The 90-year-old writer was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 17 after suffering a minimal brain hemorrhage.

According to reports, the doctors successfully treated the condition, and he was discharged on Tuesday. Although the discharge process has been completed, he was still present at the hospital for formalities and observation.

Soon after his admission, doctors had confirmed that the brain hemorrhage was very minor. As a precautionary measure, he was placed on ventilator support while doctors closely monitored his health. A medical procedure called Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) was performed to examine and manage the issue. Doctors confirmed that the procedure was successful and that no surgery was required.

During his hospital stay, members of his family visited him regularly. His children actor Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Alvira, and Arpita were frequently seen at the hospital. His sons-in-law, Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma, also visited him. His longtime writing partner Javed Akhtar came to see him as well.

Salim Khan is widely known as one-half of the legendary writing duo Salim-Javed. Along with Javed Akhtar, he wrote several iconic Hindi films that shaped the Indian film industry. Their most famous works include Sholay, Deewar, and Don. They also worked on many other successful films, such as Zanjeer, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Mr. India.

Originally from Indore, Salim Khan moved to Mumbai in his twenties with a dream of working in the film industry. After initially trying acting, he later became a writer and eventually formed one of the most successful screenwriting partnerships in Hindi cinema.
