Tamil actor Shruthi Narayanan broke her silence on the controversy regarding her alleged casting couch video on Friday, addressing the issue through her social media story. She urged everyone to stop spreading the content and to be mindful of its impact.

In her Instagram story, Shruthi expressed that this is a difficult time for her and her loved ones. She requested fans and the audience not to share misinformation like wildfire.

In a follow-up post, she condemned the leaking of private information, calling it a serious offence. She urged people to “be human first” and emphasised the emotional and mental toll such incidents take.

She further alleged that the videos in question are AI-generated deepfakes, writing, “AI-generated deepfakes are ruining lives. If you are engaging with them, you are part of the problem.”

Shruthi strongly urged people to stop sharing and seeking links to the content, emphasising the need for responsible behaviour in the digital space.
