Shivaji Satam’s iconic role as ACP Pradyuman comes to a close in CID

The makers of serial ‘CID’ have officially confirmed that ACP Pradyuman is no longer part of the storyline. For those who grew up watching him solve cases, his intense glare and commanding presence had become an iconic part of the show. Since 1998, Pradyuman has been the face of CID, one of India’s longest-running and most beloved shows.

In the last episode, the senior cop was shown dying, which led to rumours spreading about the actor, Shivaji Satam, wanting to take a break. Initially, these rumours seemed like speculation, but they have now turned out to be true. Sony TV officially confirmed the character’s death in a social media post on Saturday.

Sony shared an image of Pradyuman with the message: “In loving memory of ACP Pradyuman, a loss that will never be forgotten.” The graphic in the image read: “End of an era. ACP Pradyuman (1998-2025).”
