Shahid Kapoor talks about Kabir Singh cameo idea in ‘Animal Park’

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who is currently busy with the promotions of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film ‘O Romeo’ co-starring Tripti Dimri, recently addressed rumours surrounding a possible crossover between his character Kabir Singh and Ranbir Kapoor’s role in ‘Animal Park’. 

As per reports, during a recent interview, Shahid spoke openly about the speculation and revealed that such an idea had once been discussed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Shahid disclosed that while Animal was under production, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had approached him with the idea of including a brief cameo of Kabir Singh in the film.

 According to the actor, the director had envisioned a small scene featuring the character in the 2023 release. However, the plan could not materialise due to scheduling conflicts, and the cameo was eventually dropped.

When asked whether audiences could still expect a crossover between Kabir Singh and Animal Park, Shahid confirmed that the idea had been considered for a while during the making of Animal.

 He added that since both characters were created by the same filmmaker, any future crossover or shared storyline would entirely depend on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s creative direction and long-term vision.

On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor starred opposite Kiara Advani in Kabir Singh (2019), a film that achieved massive box office success despite facing criticism for its themes. Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, released in 2023, featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri, and went on to perform exceptionally well at the box office.
