A second doctor linked to the illegal supply of ketamine to Friends actor Matthew Perry has been sentenced, according to reports.

Mark Chavez, 55, was on Tuesday ordered by a California court to serve eight months under home confinement after admitting to one count of conspiracy related to the drug’s distribution.

Reports suggest Perry had been paying as much as $2,000 per vial for ketamine in the weeks leading up to his death in 2023.

Chavez, who reportedly operated a ketamine infusion clinic near San Diego, has also been directed to complete 300 hours of community service.

Another doctor in the case, Salvador Plasencia, was reportedly sentenced earlier this month to two-and-a-half years in prison. Both doctors are said to have surrendered their medical licences.

According to reports, three other individuals have also acknowledged their involvement in supplying drugs to the actor and are expected to be sentenced in the coming months.

Investigators have reportedly alleged that Chavez obtained ketamine through a fraudulent prescription, which was then supplied to fellow physician Plasencia.
