Sachin Sanghvi of popular duo Sachin-Jigar accused of sexual harassment, released on bail

Musician and composer Sachin Sanghvi, one half of the popular duo Sachin-Jigar, has been booked for alleged sexual harassment following a complaint filed by a 29-year-old individual.
According to reports, Sanghvi was arrested after the case was registered but was released on bail soon after his detention. The matter is currently under legal review, with all parties awaiting further developments as the investigation continues.
The arrest came after the 29-year-old lodged a formal complaint and law enforcement took Sanghvi into custody before granting bail later in the process.
Lawyer Aditya Mithe, representing Sachin Sanghvi, issued a statement disputing the allegations and the circumstances surrounding Sanghvi’s arrest.
He stated that the claims mentioned in the FIR were baseless and unsubstantiated, and that there was no merit to the case. Mithe added that Sanghvi’s detention by the police was unlawful, which was why he was released on bail immediately, and emphasised that they intend to contest all allegations fully and unequivocally.
Sachin, one half of the celebrated music composer duo Sachin–Jigar, has been behind the music of several acclaimed Bollywood films. Together with Jigar Saraiya, he has delivered memorable soundtracks for movies like Stree, Bhediya, and the chart-topping track Param Sundari. The duo’s most recent work was for the Diwali release Thamma.
