Policeman On Salman Khan Security Duty Dies Of Heart Attack Outside Actor's Mumbai Home

A 41-year-old police constable deployed on security duty outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence died after suddenly falling ill and collapsing, a senior Mumbai Police official said.

The constable, identified as Ganesh, was posted outside the actor's residence as part of his state security detail. According to police, he suddenly felt unwell and collapsed while on duty.

Constable Rushed To Hospital

Other police personnel present at the spot immediately rushed Ganesh to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said the constable died of a heart attack.

The incident occurred amid heightened security around Salman Khan, who has been under threat from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Salman Khan Has Received Threats

The actor's security has been strengthened following threats allegedly linked to Bishnoi, who has spoken about seeking revenge over the alleged hunting of a black buck by Salman Khan during the 1990s.

In 2024, two motorcycle-borne men allegedly opened fire outside Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area. The subsequent investigation reportedly found that the shooting was carried out on the instructions of Bishnoi and was intended to intimidate the actor.

Bishnoi had also issued threats against Khan in connection with the black buck case.

Salman Had Earlier Spoken About Security

Last year, Salman Khan acknowledged that moving around with heavy security could sometimes be difficult.

Speaking to the media in Mumbai, the actor said he was not afraid of the threats and had left his safety to God.

“Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai,” he had said, while noting that having to move around with several security personnel could sometimes become a problem.
