Actor Paris Jackson has won a legal battle after a judge in the US ordered the return of the $6,25,000 estate of her father, Michael Jackson.

According to reports citing court documents filed on May 13, a judge rejected the ‘bonus’ payments made in 2018 to co-estate executor of Michael Jacjson estate entertainment attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain.

The money had reportedly been paid to outside law firms working for the estate. Paris Jackson had objected to these payments in June 2025. She said the estate did not properly explain why the bonuses were given. Later, in July 2025, she also raised concerns about delays in the estate’s financial records and fee reporting.

During the court hearing, executor John Branca reportedly said the estate had a very successful year in 2018 because of major business deals. The judge reportedly ruled that bonus payments were not ‘just and reasonable’ based on the information provided. The court also ruled that Paris Jackson should receive reasonable attorney fees.

A spokesperson for Jackson reportedly called the ruling ‘a massive win’ for her and the Jackson family.
