Neha Kakkar clears divorce rumours, requests privacy after break announcement

​Singer Neha Kakkar has firmly shut down rumours of trouble in her marriage with husband Rohanpreet Singh after her recent social media posts sparked widespread speculation about a possible divorce. ​

The speculation began after Neha shared and later deleted cryptic posts announcing a break from “responsibilities, relationships, work and everything”. In the now-deleted message, she also requested paparazzi and fans to stop filming her and respect her privacy. The sudden disappearance of the posts led to intense online chatter, with many assuming issues in her personal life.

​Addressing the rumours, Neha took to her Instagram Stories and clarified that her posts were not related to her marriage. “Guys, please don’t drag my innocent husband or my sweetest family in all this plz! They are the purest people I know, and whatever I am today, it’s because of their support,” she wrote. The singer added that she was upset with “a few other people and the system,” and admitted that she tends to get overly emotional while posting on social media.

​Neha also apologised to fans for worrying them and reassured them that she would return soon. In a lighter note, she wrote, “Bechari emotional Nehu is too emotional for this world! Sorry and thank you, my NeHearts. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon with a BANG!”

​In her earlier posts, Neha had written, “Time to take a break from responsibilities, relationships, work and everything I can think of right now. Not sure if I’ll be back or not,” followed by a request asking paparazzi and fans not film her and allow her some peace.

​Neha Kakkar married singer Rohanpreet Singh in October 2020, and the couple frequently share loving moments on social media. With her latest clarification, the singer has put an end to divorce rumours, emphasising that her emotional break should not be misinterpreted and that her husband and family deserve to be kept out of speculation.
