Man borrowed ₹80 L, thrashed by three in Shastri Nagar

In a shocking incident, a man was flogged by three persons near Ahmedabad’s Shastri Nagar over borrowed funds.

Rajeshkumar Ramanuj, a resident of Shashtri Nagar’s Shraddhadeep Complex in Naranpura, borrowed ₹80 lakh from Pratik Kosrekar (also a resident of Naranpura)  in 2022.

Ramanuj runs a travel agency business and he needed funds for the same when his friend Priyan Trivedi introduced him to Kosrekar.

On the evening of Feb 28, Kosrekar called Ramanuj near Pragati Nagar and demanded his money back. However, the latter informed that he had already given money to Trivedi.

Kosrekar started beating Ramanuj and kidnapped him with the help of his friends Vaibhav and Hitesh.

Ramanuj was reportedly  tied to a tree near Shastri Nagar ground, beaten by the three miscreants.

A complaint has been registered at the Naranpura Police Station and an investigation has been initiated.
