Legal trouble for Dhurandhar 2 over use of ‘Oye Oye’ song
Trimurti films has filed a lawsuit against Aditya Dhar’s production house, B62 Studios, for allegedly using song ‘Oye Oye’ without permission in film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, as per reports. Company claims song was used without proper licence.
Trimurti Films said that film includes song Oye Oye or a version very similar to it. The company reportedly argued that makers of the film did not take required legal permission before using the track.
As per report, the song Oye Oye originally appeared in the 1989 film ‘Tridev’. It was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji and Viju Shah with lyrics written by Anand Bakshi. The song was sung by Amit Kumar and Sapna Mukherjee.
Reportedly, the case is now under legal review, and the court will decide whether the song was used without authorization. The outcome may affect the film’s future distribution and use of the track.
