‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ actors Ashlesha Savant, Sandeep Baswana marry after 23 years

Television actors Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana, who were in a relationship for more than two decades, have officially married. The two first worked together in Ektaa Kapoor’s long-running show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.

According to reports, Sandeep said that a trip they took to Vrindavan in April had a profound impact on them. The couple felt a strong spiritual pull at the Radha-Krishna temple, which encouraged them to finally formalise their relationship. Their families were said to be delighted, as they had been hoping for this moment for years. Wanting a simple ceremony, the couple chose to get married at a Krishna temple.

Sandeep reportedly mentioned that both he and Ashlesha had grown tired of responding to questions about why they had not married earlier. He believed they always considered themselves committed, so the wedding felt like a natural step rather than a major change. He also shared that they were grateful for the love and blessings they received.

The actors recently posted photos from their intimate ceremony, with Sandeep in a white sherwani and Ashlesha in a pink saree. Their post expressed gratitude for beginning a new chapter and embracing tradition. Several industry colleagues, including Mouni Roy, Disha Parmar, and Kishwer M Rai, congratulated them.

Smriti Irani, who played the lead in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, also wished the couple well. She described their relationship as an example of a love story built on companionship and realism, noting that long-lasting friendships often become the foundation for enduring relationships.
