The controversy surrounding a remark made during comedian Pranit More’s stand-up show continues to spark debate on social media. The issue gained further attention after comedian Kunal Kamra took a dig at More’s public apology.

Reacting to the apology by More after the incident, Kunal Kamra mocked More on X. In one post, he wrote, “Things comedians should stop hiding behind 1. Storytelling. 2. Crowd Work. 3. Hard Work 4. Bank Balance. 5. Parents.”

In another post, Kamra further took a swipe at the comedian, writing, “Pranit More makes Harsh Gujral look like Barrack Obama.”

The row began when a clip from More’s stand-up show in Gurugram went viral online. During an audience interaction, 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra shared a story about a date where he spent ₹370 on a plate of chicken biryani.

While talking about the incident, he suggested that because he had paid for the meal, he expected something in return from the woman. His comments were widely criticised on social media, with many calling them inappropriate and offensive.

Pranit More also came under fire as he was seen laughing during the interaction and allowing the conversation to continue. As criticism grew, More released a second apology video  saying he regretted the incident and asking people to give him another chance.

The controversy intensified after a longer version of the show clip surfaced online. The extended video reportedly showed Jangra describing the incident in greater detail while More continued to laugh and the audience cheered.

Following the backlash, both Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra issued apologies. However, the controversy and debate surrounding the incident continue online.
