Kanye West’s first India concert likely in 2026: Reports

Global hip-hop icon Kanye West, now known as Ye, is reportedly planning his first ever concert in India as part of his world tour in April 2026.
If the reports turn out to be true, it would be a historic moment for India's live music industry, putting the country on the map alongside other major global tour destinations.
Despite past controversies, Ye remains one of the most influential names in global hip-hop.
According to entertainment news website Pinkvilla, the 24 time Grammy winner is expected to hold multiple large scale concerts across India in April 2026.
The news has created huge excitement in India’s hip-hop scene, as this would be Kanye West’s first performance in the country.
While there is no official confirmation yet for YE’s team or Indian organisers, reports suggest the tour is being planned on a very large scale.
According to The Economic Times, industry sources believe the shows could match the size and impact of major international concerts in India, like those by Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.
Although the April 2026 tours would mark Kanye West’s first live performance in India, it is not his first visit to the country.
The rapper had visited India before for personal and professional reasons. In 2009, he came for a spiritual trip and spent time at an ashram. He later returned in 2012 and stayed at the Taj Mahal palace in Mumbai while promoting his women’s fashion brand.
However, these visits were not public performances, and fans have waited for over two decades to finally see his iconic stage show live in India.
