Kangana Ranaut targets Media, ‘Feminazis’ Over Protest Row: ‘You Can Display This Stupidity Only In Your Room’

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has lashed out at sections of the media and those she described as “feminazis” for allegedly supporting what she called “unethical behaviour” during recent protests at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Ranaut defended her criticism of the protesters, saying certain behaviour should not be normalised in public, particularly in front of children and elderly people.

‘Media is ganging up against me’

Ranaut alleged that sections of the media had turned against her after she objected to the protesters’ conduct.

“We do not accept this in this society. We do not want our children to be sexualised prematurely by their unethical actions,” she said, adding, “So the media is ganging up against me.”

She also clarified that her criticism was not directed at the entire Gen Z, saying she appreciated young people contributing positively through start-ups, education and their work.

Kangana hits out at ‘feminazis’

Ranaut criticised feminist commentators and anchors who, according to her, questioned why young women should be expected to follow standards of “dignity” and “discipline”.

“You can only display this stupidity in your room. You will have to go out and live in dignity,” she said, arguing that individual freedom must also respect the rights and sentiments of others.

“Don’t be influenced by these feminazis. Don’t ruin your life,” she added, accusing them of encouraging “animalistic” tendencies among young people.

Earlier ‘Generation Gutter’ remark sparks row

Ranaut’s latest comments come after she referred to protesters associated with the CJP as “Generation Gutter”.

The remark sparked a heated exchange between Ranaut and CJP spokesperson Saurav Das, with both sides trading personal attacks.
