Ekta, Shobha Kapoor face POCSO for involving minor girls in ‘Gandi Baat’

A case has been filed against film producer and television director Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor. According to reports, the FIR has been registered for depicting inappropriate scenes involving minor girls in the series ‘Gandi Baat’ Season 6, streaming on the ALT Balaji OTT platform.

The Mumbai Police have registered a case against Balaji Telefilms Limited, Ekta Kapoor, and Shobha Kapoor at the MHB police station under Section 295-A of the IPC, the IT Act, and Sections 13 and 15 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The complaint mentioned that ‘Gandi Baat’, which streamed on ALT Balaji, featured obscene scenes involving minor girls in Season 6, which aired from February 2021 to April 2021.

Currently, the episode that included the inappropriate scenes is not streaming on the app.
