Popular Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has said that he is facing criticism and abuse from different sides during his ongoing Aura World Tour. Despite performing in packed stadiums and receiving love from fans worldwide, Diljit shared that he is often misunderstood because of his identity.

As per reports, while speaking during a live concert in Edmonton, Canada, Diljit openly talked about his struggles. He said that when he travels to India, some people call him a Khalistani, while in other countries, he faces different kinds of criticism. He said in Punjabi, ‘I get abuses from both sides. When I go to India’, they say Khalistani has arrived, and when I come here, they say something else. I don’t know where to go. Despite these challenges, Diljit made it clear that he believes he is doing the right thing.

As per reports, during the same concert, Diljit interacted warmly with his audience. When young fans started shouting ‘Punjabi aa gaye oye’ Punjabis have arrived, he smiled and repeated the phrase.

This is not the first time Diljit has spoken about such issues. Reportedly, during a concert in Calgary, he paused his performance when some people in the crowd were waving pro-Khalistani flags. He calmly responded by saying that people can express themselves however they want, but he will continue to focus on his music and make Punjab proud around the world.

Diljit also talked about his appearance on The Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he spoke about an important historical event ‘the 1914 Guru Nanak Jahaz tragedy in Canada. By discussing such topics on international platforms’, he showed how Punjabi history and culture are reaching global audiences.

He is now preparing to perform in many major cities across North America, including New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Apart from music, Diljit is also busy with films.
