‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has reportedly created box office history by entering the ₹1,000 crore club in India on its 18th day, becoming the first Hindi film to achieve the milestone.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film had already crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark globally within its first week. Its latest achievement marks a significant moment for Bollywood, ending a nine-year wait since Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first Indian film to surpass ₹1,000 crore in domestic collections.

The S S Rajamouli directorial had set the benchmark in 2017, collecting approximately ₹1,030 crore net in India during its lifetime run. However, no Hindi film had managed to reach that figure until now.

Industry observers say ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has not only broken records but also reshaped expectations within Bollywood. Since its release, the film has delivered consistently strong collections, prompting studios to reassess release strategies, budgets and production scales.

As of its 18th day, the film has earned around ₹1,013.77 crore net in India and is expected to soon surpass *Baahubali 2* to become the second-highest-grossing Indian film at the domestic box office.

Despite entering its third week, the film continues to perform steadily, even as collections show a natural decline. With no major Hindi releases competing in the near term, trade analysts believe it could challenge the record set by Pushpa 2: The Rule, which currently stands at over ₹1,234 crore domestically.
