Dhanush, Mrunal Thakur likely to tie knot on Valentine’s Day

Actors Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur have sparked dating rumours for quite some time now. Reports suggest the couple is reportedly considering tying the knot on Valentine’s Day, 14 February, this year.

The alleged wedding is expected to be a private affair, attended only by close family members and friends. However, neither Dhanush nor Mrunal Thakur has issued any official statement confirming or denying the reports, and the claims remain unverified.

Rumours about the actors’ relationship have been circulating for several months. They first gained widespread attention in August 2025, when the two were spotted together at the premiere of Mrunal’s film ‘Son of Sardaar 2’. Mrunal’s earlier appearance at the wrap party of Dhanush’s film ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ had also fuelled speculation. Fans have further noted that Mrunal follows Dhanush’s sisters, Dr Karthika Karthik and Vimala Geetha, on Instagram.

Previously, there were speculations that the pair were dating, describing the relationship as new and low-key. Furthermore, the actors were not keen to make their relationship public but were comfortable being seen together, adding that friends believed they were well matched in terms of values and outlook.

Mrunal Thakur, however, addressed the dating rumours last year, stating that Dhanush was “just a good friend”.

Dhanush was earlier married to Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth for 18 years before the couple announced their separation in 2022. They met on the sets of his 2003 film ‘Kadhal Kondaen’ and share two sons, Yatra and Linga.
