A court in Delhi has granted interim protection to Haryanvi singer, dancer and actor Sapna Choudhary in a domestic violence case filed against her husband, Yashveer Sahu. The order was passed by the Dwarka Mahila Court ahead of the premiere of her upcoming film Momacu.

According to court records, Choudhary alleged that her husband had repeatedly assaulted her and created disturbances in public places. She told the court that she had left their shared home and later filed a domestic violence complaint.

After considering the documents submitted by the singer, including medical records, photographs of injuries and recordings of alleged threats, the court directed that Sahu should not contact or approach her until the next hearing. He has also been barred from visiting her residence, workplace or the venue of her film premiere.

The court took the decision keeping in mind Choudhary’s safety and her upcoming public appearances related to the film’s promotion. Her lawyer told the court that there were concerns that similar incidents could happen again.

The court has also directed the protection officer and local police to provide necessary assistance and ensure the order is followed.

According to the case records, Choudhary had been living separately with her two minor children due to the alleged incidents of violence.

The court has issued a summons to Yashveer Sahu, and the next hearing in the case is scheduled for July 25.

The allegations are part of an ongoing legal case and the matter is currently before the court.
