Chuck Russell expresses interest in collaborating with SRK, Aamir Khan

In a recent interview with a news agency, Chuck Russell, the American director and screenwriter known for his blockbuster films ‘The Scorpion King’ and ‘The Mask’, shared his desire to work with Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
Russell, who made his debut in Indian cinema in 2019 with the film Junglee, starring Vidyut Jammwal and Akshay Oberoi, expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Indian actors. He mentioned that working with different cultures and talents is something he finds exciting and enriching. “So, all of India is new to me. I’m going to learn something new working with Indian actors,” he said in an interview.
He revealed that he has been wanting to work with Aamir Khan for a long time and had even visited him in the past. He also shared his eagerness to work with Shah Rukh Khan, calling both of them major inspirations. Russell reflected on his experience working with the cast of Junglee, praising Vidyut Jammwal and Akshay Oberoi as “terrific.”
When asked about the most recent film he watched, Russell mentioned RRR, the acclaimed South Indian film, saying, “I liked RRR. It was really cool.”
RRR is a highly popular South Indian film featuring stars Ram Charan and N T Rama Rao Jr.
Chuck Russell’s career in filmmaking began with his 1984 screenplay for the film Dreamscape, directed by Joseph Ruben and starring Dennis Quaid. He made his directorial debut in 1987 with A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, a pivotal film in the Elm Street franchise during a time when New Line Cinema was uncertain about its future.
