BTS confirms full-band comeback in 2026, sets social media on fire

BTS has officially announced their long-awaited full-group comeback. On January 1, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that the group will release a new album on March 20, 2026, marking their first full-group album in after three years and nine months since Proof (June 2022), according to reports.

The comeback was reportedly announced during a Weverse live on July 1, 2025, where all seven members together revealed plans for a post-military duty album and a world tour, confirming the release would take place in spring 2026. HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang later shared that BTS was preparing with top-tier producers while taking time for reflection and creative efforts to shown.

On December 6, 2025, leader RM updated fans via Weverse, confirming that the members were actively shooting content and continuing preparations. BTS also reunited with fans during a New Year’s Eve Weverse live on December 31, expressing hopes for a safe and successful comeback.

The exact comeback date was subtly teased through handwritten letters sent to long-time Weverse members, where the members wrote “2026.03.20.” to anonymous  fan accounts shared the details online, claimed multiple entities.

Social media has since been flooded with excitement, with ARMY trending hashtags worldwide. Adding to the buzz, several fan-run accounts claimed BTS has been practicing in Los Angeles, sparking speculation about large-scale preparations and global collaborations, though no official confirmation has been given.

Following the album release, BTS will going  on a large-scale world tour for album promotion and concerts , with further details to be announced. For K pop worldwide, these comeback marks a powerful reunion of the ARMY and the BTS .
