Several prominent Bollywood personalities have publicly stepped in to support veteran actor Rajpal Yadav, who recently surrendered at Tihar Jail in connection with a ₹9-crore cheque-bounce case.

The legal trouble, which involves unpaid dues from multiple bounced cheques related to film financing, has put the actor in a difficult financial and personal situation, drawing widespread attention across the industry.

According to reports, major figures from the Hindi film fraternity including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Varun Dhawan have reached out to offer their support. Their involvement underscores a growing show of solidarity from peers amid the actor’s ongoing efforts to resolve his legal and financial challenges.

A day ago, actor Sonu Sood announced that Rajpal Yadav would now be a part of his film.

Taking to his X timeline to make this announcement, Sonu Sood wrote, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal.”

Sonu Sood further added, “He will be part of my film, and I believe this is the moment for all of us...producers, directors, colleagues to stand together. A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity. When one of our own is going through a tough phase, the industry must remind him he’s not alone. This is how we show we are more than just an industry.”

Beyond the aforementioned stars, others have expressed empathy and assistance for Rajpal during this tough period, with some public figures encouraging collective action from producers, directors, and colleagues to support him. Music director Rao Inderjeet Yadav disclosed the amount that he would contribute. He has promised to give ₹1.11 crore, while politician Tej Pratap Yadav will give ₹11 lakh, and KRK said he would contribute ₹10 lakh.

The backing from these well-known actors reflects both personal concern and professional support as Yadav navigates the consequences of the case and seeks to address the outstanding liabilities that led to his surrender in early February 2026.
