Bollywood Actor Chandrachur Singh Files FIR Against 7 Family Members Over Ancestral Property Dispute

Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh has filed an FIR against seven family members over a disputed ancestral property in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district.

Allegations Over Ancestral Property

The dispute centres on ancestral land and property in Jalalpur village, where Singh has accused relatives of allegedly creating a forged will to deprive his late father, Captain Baldev Singh, of his rightful inheritance.

The complaint names his paternal aunt Gayatri Devi, two cousins and four others. Police have begun investigating the allegations.

Alleged Forgery Dating Back to 1997

According to Chandrachur Singh, the alleged fraud dates back to 1997, when his grandfather Thakur Harendra Pal Singh was seriously ill and unable to sign documents.

Singh has alleged that his grandfather's signatures were copied and used to prepare a disputed will. He claims his uncle Ganga Singh and other family members were involved in the alleged forgery, which resulted in his father being denied his inheritance.

The actor has also claimed that his father was not even present in Aligarh when the disputed will was allegedly prepared.

Property Allegedly Transferred or Sold

Singh has further alleged that several valuable properties mentioned in the disputed will were subsequently transferred to other people or sold over the years.

Police have taken possession of the relevant documents as part of their investigation.

A member of the opposing side, Ganga Devi, has rejected the allegations and described them as baseless.

Chandrachur Singh’s Film Career

Chandrachur Singh was a recognised actor in the 1990s and has appeared in several Hindi films.

He was recently seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Kathputli. His film Bayaan, featuring Huma Qureshi, was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.
